- Description
- Assesses the inclusion of information from the GP description of the Knight in Richard Hakluyt's "The Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques and Discoveries of the English Nation," where Hakluyt presents Chaucer's fiction "as a genuine historical source," joins it with data from Thomas Hoccleve's "Letter of Cupid" (attributed to Chaucer), and attempts to validate it with a "smothering of critical apparatus."
