- Description
- Proposes that when Langland revised B into C, the literary landscape was very different (from Edwardian to Ricardian poetry). Chaucerian dream vision, especially PF with its "emphasis upon the poetic figure who seeks to understand the world through his books and to craft this search as imaginative fiction," may be responsible for the new explicitness and clarity of Piers Plowman C.
