Each translation follows Chaucer's verse form and is preceded by a one-page foreword that comments on attestation, date, verse form, sources, and other scholarly and critical issues. The volume also includes forewards for Rom, Bo, TC, CT, Astr, and Ret, and an index to the forewards.
