- Physical Description
- xviii, 104 pp.
- Description
- Presents two scripts for "teaching through performance": 1) an adaptation of scenes from several of Shakespeare's plays, presented as a single playscript ("Shakespeare's Mirror"); and 2) a fusion of reduced, modernized versions of MilT, PrT, WBPT, PardPT, and NPT into a playscript called "A Canterbury Caper" (pp. 41-81). The latter is framed by portions of GP and Ret, and accompanied by two pedagogical commentaries: "'A Canterbury Caper' in California," by Grant McKernie, and "On Tour with 'A Canterbury Caper," by Lynn Morrow. The Introduction, by Katherine H. Burkman, summarizes the development of the ideas that inform the scripts and their production by students and the acting group COLLECTION.
