- Retellings (in prose, unless otherwise noted) of GP, KnT, MilT, RvT, MLT, WBT, FrT, MerT, SqT, FranT, PardT, Th (in verse), NPT, CYT, ManT, and Ret. The book shortens and bowdlerizes the works for an adolescent / juvenile audience and "tidies up some of the loose ends that Chaucer left hanging" (p. 8). It reorders the sequence of descriptions in GP, alters the narrator and the Host, and rewrites the links between the tales. Illustrations include black-and-white silhouettes of the pilgrims and characters.
