Description
The scribe of British Library MS Harley 1758 (a copy of CT) also executed London, Society of Antiquaries 134, which includes Gower's "Confessio Amantis" and works by Lydgate, Hoccleve, and John Walton. The two manuscripts were produced in the West Midlands, the result of "provincial production." The scribe is the fifth to be identified as copyist of works by both Chaucer and Gower.
