- Description
- The Canterbury Tales Project takes up where Rickert and Manly left off, presenting extant texts in ways that are accessible to and useful for all readers. Since the manuscripts derive from those copied by a select group of scribes a few years after Chaucer's death, attention has focused on these as a means of determining Chaucer's methods of revision. The use of technology for showcasing this project must be carefully thought out to avoid confusion.
